Robo Bot Nick

I have been thinking of something new for the VEX Bot and have come up with the standard boom with limits switches and adding a web cam. But I want a 360° turret with pan and tilt for the camera.

So I will need the following (On top of the VEX Starter Bundle):

1 set VEX Robotics Hardware and Metal Kit

1 two pack Limit Switches

2 Standard Servo, HS-311: Universal

And of coarse the camera – Haven’t looked at any. There is one for the Revell Vexplorer Robotics System

OK, new idea! Since we have about 4-6 inches of snow on the ground, I thought I would try to find something I can use on the front of my VEX as a snow plow. I will have to go to the hardware store tomorrow. I think I have enough parts to make the pivot for the plow, plus I have an extra 100° servo.


Update – The hardware store didn’t have really what I was looking for, or I couldn’t find it.

In the last couple of days I have built the VEX Protobot and made changes to the channels that the boom and front wheels work from.

• Changed different wiring routes
• removed AA battery box and replaced with a 7.2 Volt NiCd Battery
