The Vex Robotics Competition is a fun, challenging, and educational competition across America and throughout the world. This video highlights the many benefits of being involved with robotics at the high school and middle school level. Special thanks to our team mentor, Nancy McIntyre and all of the moms and dad’s that gave their time and expertise to help us throughout the season. Thank you to Belden Music and Sound for loaning us the cool track, and to Mr. Bolcik for letting us use your lights. Also thanks to videocopilot.net for posting free online After Effects tutorials. We would have been lost without them.

This was Yarmouth High School’s 2010 VEX Robotics Team’s first year competing but you would not have know that from the focus this team brought to the match. That spirit led them from a robot that had some minor problems at the start of the day to a championship spot by the end. This first year team learned with every match making small adjustments to their robot improving its operation. In the end this quick thinking lead them with the alliance partners Green Egg Robotics and Greely High School Team B to victory. This win gives Yarmouth the opportunity to go to the World Championships being held in Dallas at the end of April. And we are exceptionally happy to announce that through some quick fund raising efforts and a good bit of help from the Yarmouth School Department we are going to DALLAS! ! ! ! !
